Stuart and Lisa Murray from Wolverhampton have a team of six Huskies. Lenny, Jingle, Tracker, Tubbs, Badger, Moose, Buck and Diago are aged between 2 and 7. They compete in both dryland and snow competitions across the UK and Europe with the dogs running distances of between 2 and 5 miles and reaching average speeds of around 16-18 miles per hour.
They also have Nuggett who was previously a member of the team but is now enjoying a well-earned retirement. Nuggett still takes part in the capacity of supervisor/ cheerleader and is very vocal whilst the others train. At 11 years old Nuggett prefers chilling out and taking nice walks.
Stuart and his team of Huskies are currently champions in both 6 dog and 2 dog for the 2018/19 racing season but this isn’t new to them with a number of titles already under their belt.
