ALERT *How to order pet food from Saturday 28/03/2020 onwards*
From Friday 27 March close of business, Burns closed Head Office in the interests of staff and public safety. All pet food orders then processed remotely from Saturday 28 March until further notice. Customers now place remote orders in the following ways:

From 30 March Burns is open usual hours Monday to Friday (9-5).
HQ is closed but staff are working from home. Sales & dispatch will be available to take & process orders. Currently delivery time is around 5-7 working days. Keep checking as this situation can change at any time.
ALERT **note on inflated prices by some Burns food sellers**
Please watch out for sellers inflating suggested retail prices of our food. Unfortunately, a small amount of Burns food sellers are not adhering to our suggested retail prices (*SRP) during this Covid-19 crisis. We will be keeping an eye on this and dealing with each case as we find it.

How Burns is handling the Covid-19 outbreak
John Burns and the Burns working family are doing their best to ensure ‘business as usual’ to ensure pooches are well fed in the coming weeks and months.
We are taking all steps possible to protect customers and staff from Covid-19. John is really taking care of his work family in this time of crisis and like any family, we are working together, taking precautions provided by WHO and UK Government and making changes to our working practices to do our bit to fight this virus. Staff movement and visitors
Working staff with young families and those living with at risk members or considered at risk themselves are now remote working. Currently there is no one in Burns with the virus and those that cannot work remotely are all working in safe spaces with 2m distances, using lots of hand gel, hot water and soap, non-sharing of pens and utensils and restricting site movement for staff and not allowing any visitors on sites. Remote video conferencing is replacing onsite meetings where possible, with staff teams, suppliers and partners.

All Burns events are now cancelled until April-end 2020 with all external visitors banned on our sites. Burns reps are now social distancing from stockists for public safety. We are working smart by splitting teams to ensure back up cover in our HQ and warehouse. We are reducing contact at delivery points and using rigid hygiene procedures in line with UK guidelines. Our courier service is running a per normal – although there may be some delays. We appreciate your patience and cooperation on this matter.
Burns in the Community
The John Burns Foundation charity workers are helping the elderly in Wales with deliveries of food. Burns has been helping pet food banks in the area, donating to Patch. We are also looking into a dog walking scheme for the vulnerable in the community. All other vulnerable group events and activities have been cancelled for social distancing reasons.
