Bird Flu (Avian Influenza)

How does Bird Flu (Avian Influenza) affect the food your pet is eating?

by Burns Team Writer

From 2 December 2022, it is a legal requirement for all keepers across Wales to keep their birds indoors or otherwise separated from wild birds. Therefore, chicken, turkey and eggs which are labelled “free range” will come from temporarily indoor birds.

In our wet food, the chicken, turkey, and eggs suppliers house free range birds when they are able to do so. These products will contain eggs and poultry from birds being kept inside a barn on a temporary basis. Please be reassured that this will be for the safety of the birds, your pets and you.
