As a junior, it’s time to change your puppy’s feeding amounts.

Now your puppy’s growth has slowed down and they need less food, there’s a greater risk your junior can become overweight. Overweight dogs are at risk of a slew of health conditions and diseases that could affect the quality of their life later on.

We know how easy it is to overfeed your dog, but careful monitoring will keep your pup in healthy shape. If your puppy is overweight, base the daily amount on their target weight not their actual weight and up their fresh water intake.

How many times should I feed my junior puppy every day?

Most puppies will happily dine on 3 meals per day until they are 6 months old. We normally change from 3 meals to 2 meals when they hit the 6 month mark, but it depends what suits you and your puppy the best. Another factor to consider is if your puppy has any dietary requirements or has been given feeding advice from a vet to help with their growth and behaviour.
