Pet Blood Bank
Pet Blood Bank was launched in 2007 after a change in legislation in 2005 made it possible to collect, process and store pet blood. It was founded by Vet Nurse Wendy Barnett with support from the pet emergency service Vets Now.
”Pet Blood Bank is a charity that offers a blood bank service for dogs. We run very similarly to the human blood service”.
Setting up Pet Blood Bank means that vets now have immediate access to blood when they need it.
