Better Tomorrow Team and Mencap Put Best Paw Forward in Community Garden Project

Last week we proudly presented Ysgol Gwenllian with some brand-new outdoor resources. On their return to school after the Easter holidays, pupils were treated to the surprise of brand-new pencil planters, mud kitchens and outdoor staging areas. The equipment was handmade by volunteers from Mencap with support from the Burns in the Community team as part of the Better Tomorrow scheme.

Mr Donne’s Butterfly Effect Story – enhancing his wellbeing through activities

Mr Donne experienced a horrific car accident and the crash turned the family’s lives upside down. It has left Mr Donne with short term memory loss and he suffers seizures as a result of epilepsy. Since the accident Mr Donne has visited the Parc y Bocs site in Kidwelly where he enjoys gardening with The Butterfly Effect group which enhances wellbeing and happiness through meaningful activities.
