Charlotte Harding & Summerick Border Collies

Bristol based Charlotte Harding shares her life with three Border Collies.

Ricky (Starazaz Venn)
Charlotte got Ricky when she was only 10 years old and she has now owned him for over half her life.  This handsome, black and white 12 years old has retired from full height Agility but still enjoys competing in Veteran classes, giving the much younger veterans a good run for their money. Charlotte says “Ricky is the start of it all for me and he took me from Pre-Beginners to 'C' in obedience and grade 1 to grade 7 in agility. He also won a best of breed in the show ring and numerous YKC classes at Crufts. He is truly a dog in a million and a real versatile Border Collie.”

Tia (Bekkis Beyond Belief)
Nine year old Tia is also black and white but has a completely different character to Ricky.  She has also had a highly successful career in both Agility and Obedience as well as achieving a Best of Breed in the show ring.  Charlotte tells us that Tia is “the clown of the pack and doesn't take life very seriously.  She loves to play and people still mistake her for a puppy. She has managed to put her slightly more serious hat on for long enough to reach grade 7 Agility and Champ C Obedience, and was also the first dog to attain both an Agility and Obedience warrant.”

Scandal (Rujaff Red Hot Scandal)
A stunning red tri-colour Border Collie, three year old Scandal  only started competing last year.  “Scandal, living up to her name, is certainly the naughtiest dog of the three and always looking for trouble! She never ceases to make me laugh with her wild antics. She only started competing in June 2010 but in that time managed to qualify for four finals including Crufts 2011. Scandal is now starting to mature and is showing great potential for agility and we can't wait for the 2011 show season. We have also recently tried sheepdog herding which Scandal was delighted with - it was great to see how naturally she took to it and I hope to do more of it when time allows.”

Charlotte goes on to say “All three dogs look great on the Burns Active and love their 'Fish Training Treats'. These are fantastic for training as they are much healthier than them having lots of sausage or cheese, but the dogs love them just as much. They also love their Burns Venison Ears and Ocean Bites as a treat. I am so proud of how great my dogs look and nutrition plays such a massive part in this - so thank you for your continued support, it is very much appreciated.”
