A caller to Deborah our nutritionist is upset that a groomer local to her has been rubbishing Burns. According to this groomer, who recommends another brand of pet food, I have left the business (I know the staff would be pleased), the recipe has been changed and there is now so much rice in Burns that it is no longer nutritionally adequate.
As they say in Scotland “Gonnie no’ dae that?” It means “Would you please stop?”
Last night I was looking at a website which gives advice on pet-related matters. The recommendations are all for products and suppliers which have adverts on the site. A few months ago, the writer was singing the praises of a certain pet food. This time he had a different favourite food which I clicked on to. Without realising it, I found myself transported to the food manufacturer’s own website. This presumably generated a fee to be paid by the food manufacturer to the “advice” writer. The writer says that the advice is given “in good faith”. I don’t know what your idea of “good faith” is, but this wouldn’t be mine.
